THE WIND
PAINTS
- THE WIND is short series that moves between memory, identity, and the quiet force of transformation. Inspired by (2022) My First Day Wearing a Hijab, this body of work begins with a deeply personal threshold: the moment when clothing becomes more than fabric, and turns into gesture, belief, and presence.
- Like the wind itself, these works are shaped by what cannot be fully seen, only felt. They carry softness and tension, vulnerability and strength, stillness and motion. Through layered surfaces and dreamlike imagery, the series explores how the body holds memory, how change settles into the skin, and how identity can unfold gently, yet powerfully, in front of us.
- In THE WIND, the invisible becomes intimate. What begins as a breath becomes a story. What seems fragile becomes resilient. And what moves through us quietly reveals the deep architecture of becoming.
